I MISS BACK WHEN..........

I so don't want to offend anybody. Bare with me.....

Tim Mcgraw sings a song "BACK WHEN". Part of the lyrics are as follows :

Back when a hoe was a hoe
Coke was a coke
And crack's what you were doing
When you were cracking jokes
Back when a screw was a screw
The wind was all that blew
And when you said I'm down with that
Well it meant you had the flu
I miss back when
I miss back when
I miss back when

I so miss back when too... On Wendsday I thought I'd put in a cute little harmless quote or pic on my blog for hump day, meaning Thank goodness it's Wednesday..... Well FYI "DO NOT GOOGLE HUMP DAY"...... OH MY GOSH~~~ DON'T DO IT!!!!! *lol*
It's really to bad that the simple things in life have turned so complex...... So the lesson I've learned is...... Be careful what you google, times have definately changed.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEB~~~~

Today is our good friend Deb's birthday.... I could so have fun with it cuz I do know how old she is but I won't.. So instead....

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ONE OF MY BEST-ESTS FRIENDS"

A friend is someone we turn to when our spirits need a lift.
A friend is someone we treasure for our friendship is a gift
A friend is someone who fills our lives with beauty, joy, and grace.
And makes the whole world we live in a better and happier place.

WEDNESDAY IS NOW BEEN DEEMED RECIPE DAY

This has been officially deemed recipe day for my blog. This recipe is excellent. It's a rich, creamy cheese cake with the apple, cinnamon baked thru it... Enjoy

ERIC WAKE UP ITS MORNING.........

Eric worked late last night & was really tired. After a nice hot meal prepared by mom, he fell asleep on the couch & I didn't have the heart to wake him. When I woke up this a.m. he had moved to the floor. I woke Elijah for his morning bath & we he got out & ran to the living room to put on his clothes, Eric was lying there. He was so excited... He layed down beside him & started saying... "Eric, wake up it's morning time... " then he'd get right in his face & say "Eric, you spent the night here.. Wake up it's morning time"... That was better than any alarm clock.

DRIVER'S ARE YOU READY TO RUMBLE........

Not many of you know this about me but I love drag racing. Nick, whom is a friend of mine, introduced me to the sport. Well, they have a thing call Fantasy Drag Racing on the internet.
You pick your teams for the race, and each driver earns points for as many rounds they win & then more points if they take the event...Well we meaning, me, Nick, Eric (the oldest), and Kevin have joined a fantasy league with lots of other people & we also have our own league..Well of course the guys are always slamming me cuz I'm a women...I don't know what I'm doing...I cheat cuz I pick by eanie meanie, minie, moe... & etc... 1st week I was in 2nd for just our league, 2nd week I fell to 3rd and Nick went ahead of me by 10 little points... Nick has given me such a hard time this week stating he was going to be in the top 10% of everyone in the league.. and he was going to make me eat his dust & ...blah...blah...blah... Well I beat all the boys & him this weekend... .Now to you that might not mean much but to me it is HUGE!!!! I BEAT THE MEN...I BEAT THE MEN...Not only did I beat them... I'm in the top 20% of everyone in the league... Now in 2 weeks.. I may fall back but this week I WON!!!!!!! Oh and I won't let it go to my head but you can be sure I'm going to rub it in for a day or two....*lol*

SRING IS HERE.....

For most of you Spring means sunshine, birds chirpin', flowers bloomin & bbq's. For Heather & I it
means work. I know most of you think we spend all our time surfin'
the internet for paper downloads, scrapbook ideas, e-cuts, & reading blogs but these pics are living proof that we both work.... Spring for us means coming into the office with a list of things to do & not having one of them marked off at the end of the day. It means having several piles, & I mean several piles & moving the piles at the end of the day just so you feel that you've accomplished something. It means going home & answering the phone "Wilbur-Ellis, this is Darla" and having the person on the other end bust out laughing. Well today I came up with a theme song for Heather & I..... "WE'RE NOT MUCH FUN SINCE WE STARTED WORKING "

Yesterday, I took the boys & went down to Umatilla. Nick's family has a place down there, we refer to it as "The Ranch". Nick had bought a new 4 wheeler for Elijah & Adrian. I've had mixed emotions about it all week, but that's a whole other blog *lol*... He tried to set the accelerator so it wouldn't go past a certain speed but failed. Adrian was able to ride by himself with some instructions & as for Elijah he wanted to but there was no way... he couldn't wait to make it go faster... The boys were actually very good about taking turns. I will say Adrian did get favored for riding it the most. The best part was when Nick took out the lawnmover for Elijah to ride. Him & Adrian would race... Then they switched ... Nick & Elijah got on the 4 wheeler & Adrian drove the lawnmower. Nick would get close to Adrian & rub tires... or push him from behind.
They were all laughing.. It turned out to be a pretty good day. The boys had a blast, but who wouldn't with a new 4 wheeler.

For you that have a child that you love to death but seem never to see eye to eye with, will understand how I'm feeling. Jenn is that child. She will be graduating the end of May. I keep saying only 3 more months, 2 1/2 months, I'll be so excited but I think reality is setting in, I cannot believe she will be graduating & moving on. On Monday, a coach from Pierce College came down & watched her softball practice. She was so nervous but yet so excited. They have been pursuing her since State last year. I met him, seems very nice & made it very clear they want her to play for them. WOW!!! Talk about proud..... I keep telling her to not get tunnel vision to keep her options open. Being it is on the other side of the mountain, she needs to consider playing for BBend or CBC... I keep telling her it would be better for her. But guess what.... I think....it would be better for me ..... Oh my to have to admit, I'm getting a little nervous for graduation. For her leaving & not being able to see her when ever I can..... not to be able to watch all her games.... not to be able to give her my opinions of who she should run with..... I know the time is getting short.... I know I've raised her the best I could.... I just hope and pray that when she leaves the nest & fly's for the first time alone that she knows I will always be here, that I'm so very proud of her & even though we might not have always got along that I love her so very, very much.

I WISH I WOULD HAVE HAD A CAMERA THIS A.M.

Today, Warden didn't have school. So I took both boys to Riki's for daycare. I need to set the scene for this hilarious scenerio.
For some reason as long as Elijah has been walking, he thinks we need to race to the door every morning, & race to the car every night... Now at first I will admit I actually cared what people thought as they passed by, but eventually I didn't .Parents pull up while we are racing, cars go by and the whole time Elijah is doing all he can to beat me. He can barely stay on his feet cuz he is laughing hysterically. Riki has even came out a time or two & tackled him so I could win.
Well this morning, Carrie arrived with her two boys right before I pulled up. Tyler is Elijah's age & bud. First off he was so excited to see Adrian there, he runs to the car & just starts jabbering away. Well Elijah starts for the door, giggling cuz he thinks I'm not paying attention. I turn & start to run, Adrian starts running & Tyler starts running... They are all screaming I'm going to beat you.... Oh my gosh can you imagine me, and (2) 4 yr olds & an 8 yr old running across this yard laughing and screaming & it was only 7:00 in the morning... I can only imagine what people were thinking... Jenn had taken this picture a while ago, not flattering at all but you can see the giggle on his face. Kids... the things they get you to do :)

Yesterday was an ADHD Day

I'm sure most of you know that Adrian has ADHD. Well yesterday is what I call an ADHD day.
As soon as I woke Adrian to get into the bath, I thought to myself that he just seemed more fidgety & more anxious & extremely tired compared to normal. As the morning progressed, I knew that today probably would not be a good day. As I was walking out the door for work, I realized he had snuck his game boy to bed & stayed up playing it at night & didn't get his required sleep needed. And as it turns out I was correct about his day. On a daily basis I get a note with either a smiley face, a straight face, or a frown face. This is the way the teacher lets me know what type of day we had. Adrian rides the bus out to my office. He than comes in grabs his snack & sits at his desk (located next to mine) & either colors or plays on his game boy till it's time to go. So yesterday, he jumps off the bus, greets me "HI Mom", so I gave him a hug & asked how was your day... He looks at me & says "It wasn't good"... Mrs. Jensen is supposed to give me 4 chances before I get a bad day & she only gave me 2 chances.... so I really didn't have a bad day... It was all I could do not to laugh. Then he proceeded to tell me his reading teacher is getting meaner. I asked why? He says " Well, I was only talking to Tanner a little & she sent me to the office." I said well you shouldn't have been talking .... He then tells me again " Mom, I wasn't talking that much"... So than I ask him "What did you do in the office?" He replies "Mom, I did my work" *lol* He did good until we got home... Then the war began. He wouldn't eat, couldn't sit still, wouldn't mind, so off to bed we went.... OH MY GOSH..... The drama.... You would of thought I beat the poor child... For 20 mins .. he not only cried, he wailed,... the older kids get so frustrated but the best thing to do is not to react... It's taking me some time to figure it out. With his condition staying calm as a parent is the best thing to do... because I have reacted & when he gets to that point punishment means absolutely nothing.... 20 mins. into this he falls asleep..... sleeps for apx. an hour & wakes up & starts all over..... this time only lasting 10 mins or so....then he's fast asleep for the night. It so easy to let yourself get frustrated at the situation. I think the thing that frustrates me the most is he has no control of this, these were the cards he was dealt & hopefully in time he can learn to deal with them. We've both come so far in handling the situations, & he has come so far in handling his fits, his anger and they seem to be getting fewer & further between. I'm so proud of him & frequently tell him. This little boy has been thru more in his short 8 yrs than I have in 40.

I'm anxiously waiting his arrival today, in hopes that he had a good day.

You Might Be A Scrap-a-holic ..................

If you ink the edges of your memos at work . . .
. . .you might be a scrap-a-holic

If you have enough paper in your stash to open your own scrapbook store . . .
. . .you might be a scrap-a-holic

If you plan your family outings based on the paper you bought last week . . .
. . .you might be a scrap-a-holic

 If your vacation destination must have a scrapbook store . . .. . .
I wonder.... do I have a problem ????? *lol*

Happy Birthday to Dr. Seuss

A freind of ours was putting on a birthday party for Dr. Seuss.
It was held at a school in Moses Lake & was free to the public.
She had everything she needed but no Cat in the Hat. Her mom
contacted me & asked if Kevin would do it. I knew he would.
Kevin is the most well rounded kid I know. He loves to help out
anybody doing anything he possibly can. He accepted. I wasn't able to go, I had a migraine that evening. So Jenn went & took pictures for me. He told me that this little boy was so..so afraid of him, but by the end of the
night he was sittin on Kevin's lap & Kevin was reading his book to him. He said he had a blast and would do it again. The picture is of Kevin & Jenn...

Today, I'm going to ask for prayers. My son Elijah goes to a daycare / preschool in Moses Lake. According to Elijah his teachers name is: "TEACHER TONYA". She is a wonderful preschool teacher, a wonderful daycare provider, a wonderful mother of 2 young boys, a wonderful wife, a wonderful daughter & a wonderful friend. Today, she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Tomorrow she will undergo surgery to remove her thyroid. She then will have to undergo a radiation treatment that will hopefully get rid of the cancer. It's quite a long, drawn out process. It sounds as if there is an 85% chance that it hasnot & will not spread. If you could all just add her in your prayers, I would so appreciate it. I know God all has a plan for us but I also know he listens.
The pic above is of her two children at Halloween.

Thanks
