Conconully or Bust!!

We had an absolute wonderful time in the mountains. This is to be the first of the annual camping trip with my extended family. We are planning on doing it the same weekend every year so that people can plan ahead. This year Dave & Dolly, Allison, & Pat - Me, Eric, Jenn & Deandre & his 2 girls (Mazzlin & Meliah), My brother Mike, Denise, O.P. , Tasha & O.P.'s friend Katie, My cousin - Steve, Bonnie, Brad, Jacob, Staci & Ryan. Annette, her mom, Kristen & Micah. There were 6 families. The weather was absolutely beautiful during the day & cool and crisp in the evenings. Adrian loves it up there. He had 6 campsites he could roam & fish the creek. Dave said everytime, he think he'd sneak away to the special fishin' hole, he'd get there & guess who was there "Adrian". *lol* We had a horseshoe tournament. We drew names out of a cup for team matches. I will say they came out pretty even. Now, let's just say 2 very weak Vodka & Fresca's & you might have one the tournament too!!! Way to go Brad... We are the one's to beat next year, and mom- at the age of 73 and only having to scoot up a couple feet, throwing two games that's something to be proud of - I just won't ask you to grate cheese next time, cuz I over excerted you on that one *lol*!!! We also played Hobo Golf & Cribbage.. What a great time...

Kids say the darndest things...

The two little neighbor girls came over to visit on Sunday. They are the same age as Elijah maybe a year younger. We got to talking about families, and how many brothers and sisters they had. Well the one pops up and tells me she spent the weekend with her dad & her new mom. And how she didn't like her new mom's house.. There was sooo many stuffed animals. She had quite the dramatization. All of a sudden she says.. I might be getting another brother or sister. Silly me .. I ask "Is your mom pregnant?".. she says no but if my dad looks at my new mom one more time.. she will be pregnant.. *lol* I really tried hard not to bust out laughing. Then she goes on to say.. Yeah everytime my dad looked at my mom she got pregnant.. so we kept saying "Dad don't look at her..." Dad don't look at her.... Okay I lost it.... Kids..

Last night I started the big move.. I'm embarrassed to admit this but Elijah still sleeps with me.. Yeah, I know he's six almost seven.. I tell you any new mom's out there "Don't Do It"... don't give in... I know it's lame but when he came to live with me he was only 9 months old.. I felt so bad for him being taken away and switched from foster home to whom ever.. So he has slept in my room ever since. I've tried several times, I have a nice bunk bed set in a big room but due to Adrian & his ADHD.. They cannot sleep in the same room.. Adrian's sleep habits effect everyone in the house. He really needs his own room.. So we all know that parenting requires alot of giving. I've really been feeling guilty that I had the room all to myself with SCRAPBOOK stuff.. So Friday night I jumped in and started moving.. OH MY GOSH!!!! I tell you , How does one person acquire so much stuff? How much stuff do you need to do the perfect page?? So as I'm moving all this stuff.. I decided to go thru it .. You would not believe it.. Remember the beach book that I was going to work on at Sydney's crop night & I showed up with Believe instead.. I found it... I found (2) word books TEAM that I was going to do for Elijah's soccer coaches .. Hmm 2yrs ago.. I have soooooo many stickers my books are bulging.. I"ve since went thru my scrap belongings & have made a give -a-way pile... My how things have changed since I started scrapping years ago.. Things were simpler..much simpler..

Here's a peek at the new / improved scrap / bedroom !!!

The Circus Came To Town......

My brother Dave, gave us a family pass to the circus. Jenn & Deandre took the boys on Friday afternoon. The boys were disappointed at first because it seemed to be alot like the one they had attended in Warden.. But it eventually got better. They rode an elephant, held a huge snake, and of course laughed at the clowns.. They really loved the motorcyle riders in the round ball.. (I hope they mentiond "Don't try this at home" *lol*, I can just picture Adrian and Elijah trying to reinact this *lol*). Thanks you guys, the boys had a blast...

As I said before.. I love racing!!!

I love the smell of the tires when they light them up...

I love the vibration you feel as they travel by you..

I love when the camero's and the vettes do the wheelie stands...

All in all I just love racing!!

Mom's ... you gotta love em'

Here's a funny story for you... We have a big family / friend camping trip planned towards the end of June. Some are going on Wednesday, some Thursday, some on Friday but my mom was going to go up with Nick and I on Wednesday. I had spoken with her earlier about staying in the camper. She is 73 and has arthritis terribly and thought that would be the best for her, and after a bit of a talk convinced her that would be best. Well yesterday I get this phone call,

Darla,

Yes mom.,

Umm.. well... I'm not sure when I'm going to be able to camping...

What???

Well... I'm gonna go but I don't think I'm gonna go up on Wednesday... you see ummm well, I might have an appointment..

What?? You might have an appointment.. well you see.. ummm (I've never heard her beat around the bush like this before).. well I'm supposed to have an eye appointment and well you see it might be that day...

(I'm totally confused)

Mom, that's fine.. are you still coming ..

Yep.. just don't know when..

Ok mom...

******

Well the more I thought about it the more confused I got... She might have an appointment??? Whatever!!! Ahha... I think I got it.. she doesn't want to sleep in the camper with us.. she'd be more comfortable in the tent but doesn't want to admit it....

*****

Tonight I call...

Mom,

yes,

You need to be completely honest with me and know you will not hurt my feelings..

What Darla?

Well, I think last night when we talked you were trying to tell me something and you just couldn't do it .. so I'm gonna ask you... ."Are you ok with sleeping in the trailer"...

She starts to chuckle..

Oh yeah.. Im all about comfort and that will be much better than the tent.

(Hmmm not what I expected)

Why do you ask?

Well you seem like something is bugging you about going up on Wednesday & I just can't place it.

Well... you are gonna think this is silly... but.....

Wednesday is the day I go to lunch with my friends & I don't want to miss it.. I want to go...

What??? That's it... yeah that's it but I still think I might have an appointment just not sure yet...

Oh my gosh!!!! She's 73 wants to have lunch with her friends and was totally afraid to tell me.

*lol*...

Mom , I hope you have a good lunch and can't wait till you get up to the mtns with us ....

Last Day of School

Today was the boys' last day of school. They had cleaned all their desks out yesterday & today they were just going from 8:20 till about 11:00 or so..

Well I woke up with an ocean in my head, a throat that felt like sandpapaer & my ears were itching like crazy!!! I thought it was allergies but the dry cough is driving me total nuts.

So instead of school...I slept.. i didn't get up until about 10:30 only had about 10 misc. wakeups for food, or milk or whatever they needed *lol*

I didn't get any pics, & I didnst get to send thank you notes... So Amy McCoullough and Denise
Holman , I would like to thank you both for all your hard work and for always going the extra mile. If there were only more teachers like you two!! Have a great summer!!

Oh what a weekend it was!!!

Friday night we went over to my cousin's Sue & Mark, my other cousin Kelly and her husband Steve and their granddaughter Tori were there too!! We had a lot of fun... Ate tacos, had a Blackberry Margarita or two and laughed alot... Thanks Sue we had a great time!!!

Nick & Kelly (my cousin) Steve & Mark (Cousin Husbands) Sue (cousin)

Tori & the Boys playing
Saturday was a full day..
Got up early Saturday morning and headed out to a yard sale that Sydney was having.. Scrapbooking items really cheap!! My kind of yard sale.. I met up with Heather & her boys, Deb, Alyson, Lexi, Kesiegha (sp?) Tiffany, Donna & Michelle, and Janey Payney... Oh what fun we had... Poor Michelle .. first time to hang with us all and waaaaayy to early for her *lol* but she was a good sport. :) Then we all headed for Denny's. I'm sure that place will never be the same. In fact I saw two elderly ladies ask if they could move & I'm sure it wasn't because we wer being loud and obnoxious.. cuz that is just not our style!!!

Deb & LexiDonna & Tiffany Michelle & Donna

Keseigha (Now she looks happy)

Now both Heather & Jane look like they needed smiling lessons from Keseigha *lol*

Alyson & I trying our thinner looking pose *lol*
What a great morning.. Now for the 2nd part of my day. Warden graduated on Friday night & I've written about my friend Annette before. Her son Chris graduated so we had a party for
him that afternoon. Annette doesn't have a blog so I'm going to toot the horn for her.... Chris received over $6,000.00 in scholarships!!!! I just think that is awesome... Way to go Chris!!! I headed home from breakfast & whipped out some brownies & headed for Warden.
It was very over cast, a tad windy & the rain was falling off and on. We spent the afternoon over there celebrating & trying to stay dry *lol*.. Thank goodness for tarps !!! On our way home the storm hit... It was so black & raining so hard that we could only go 40 miles an hour on 17. The traffic was backed up!! We got home about 6:45 and I called Deb and told her I wouldn't be heading over. I was cold, tired & it was crappy driving weather.. Apologized and hung up.. All of the sudden my phone rings & it's the newbie calling... MICHELLE... Dishing out all the crap how her and her mom traveled all the way down & she even had taken a nap so she could stay a wake to visit... you name it she said it *lol* The guilt was layed on thick .. So I jumped in the shower & thru on some sweats.. grabbed some card things & out the door I went.. Good thing cuz the next plan was for my buddy Keseigha to call *lol*.. I"m glad I went. I got to visit, wish Donna a Happy Birthday, laugh alot, have Alyson & Michelle help coordinate a few cards for me ... Thanks guys I'm sooooo glad I went.
Happy Birthday Donna!!

Okay now after two great days & nights you can probably figure out my house has totally been neglected. And those that know me (Heather) know that little things drive me crazy after a while.. Well this morning I jumped up and cleaned my house... Between Nicks clutter lying around.. Daisy's clutter lying around.. the boys not having to pick anything up cuz I wasn't at home nagging on them just about put me over *lol*!!! So I cleaned the house thru a salad together and we headed off again for :
Allison's 2nd Birthday..

It was a strawbery short cake theme. Dolly did her cake & she did a great job on it!!

Allison & her cousing Kaitlyn

Givin' Daddy kisses!!

FYI - When you rent a covered area at a park, you may not think about it but you may want to find out what time the auto sprinklers come on because if you don't this may give you an idea of what things may look like!!!

Maybe you can explain to me why a city park would have the automatic sprinklers scheduled to come on during daytime park use???? I think tomorrow we might have a better understanding but for today I'm dumb founded!!!!
Happy Birthday Allison!!!
(I apologize for the way this is posted ... Blogger isn't cooperating)

Beware- Catch up Blog starts here :)

Bellingham or Bust!!! Thank you to Donna, Sandy, and Treasurery for the great hospitality that they showed for all us Easterners to catch up with you Westerners ....

We spent Memorial Weekend in our new trailer at Bunkers on William's Lake. What a beautiful place. The boys were able to play, and fish - they caught apx. 12 fish between them & I actually learned how to relax. Nick took the boys out on the lake & I actually had 4-5 hrs to myself.. I went stir crazy for a bit then I took a deep breathe and learned to relax *lol*.. Sunday night was absolutely wonderful.. The sky was beautiful, the kids were in bed & Nick & I sat around the fire & listened to our neighbor play his guitar arround the camp fire.. It doesn't get much better than that ....

When I asked Adrian what he thought of Bunkers - he said "It's off the hook". That will be my title for the Title Scrapbook Page - "Bunkers - It's off the hook "
I took the boys to the Circus that came to Warden . It was very small but we all had alot of fun.
There was a lion & 2 tigers, an Anaconda, the high wire act, a magic dance act, the unicycles & my favorite was the clown *lol*..

Work has been extremely busy, the weather has been extremely warm and windy, my allergies are absolutely driving me nuts, the weightloss was doing good down 11 1/2 - 12 lbs but lost momentum these last two weeks-need to get back the mentally preparedness. This weekend brings 2 graduation parties, a gathering at my friend Deb's, and Miss Allison's (Dave's daughter) 2nd birthday party is on Sunday. School is out next Tuesday, I think i'm more excited than the kids. I'm counting down the days till Conconully Camping Trip (mid June), 4th of July Camping trip- Bunkers, The zoo, the NHRA races in July, Singing in the Rain in Leavenworth in August.\
Summer is here & I'm ready!!!
