GRADUATION!!!!

Well, he did it... The week is over & I now have another graduate from Warden High School.
It's hard to believe.... Kevin has absolutely hated school since Kindegarten. It's not that he struggled, he just didn't like it.. He has begged me many a times to please just let him quit & he will get a job and work... PLEASE MOM!!! Two weeks ago, he was texting me at work, telling me how much he hated it and please just let him quit.. He didn't need his stupid diploma...
Well.. he did it..!!! He finished all 12 grades and did well. He received $3,5oo.oo in scholarships.
$1000.00 from the Warden Fire Dept., $500.00 from the Kiwanias, $500 from the Lions Club, and $1500.o0 from Paul Lozier!! He was so fun to watch, he only new about the Fireman's scholarship, so the rest were all a suprise!! There was over $550,000.00 in scholarships given away at that graduation!!! WOW!!

I still can't believe it!!

The song on the play list "YOU"RE GONNA MISS THIS" is the song they played with the Senior Video and yep.. I got teary eyed!!!

One Step Closer ....Baccelorate

Wow.... we are one step closer. Tonight was baccelorate. It was held at the Baptist Church in Warden. There were only 20 kids that showed out of about 60 some. I was suprised!! It was
an okay ceremony... No offense to anyone involved but I really enjoyed Jenn's better last year.
Jenn's was seemed to be more focused on the kids. Kevin's was good but at times, you weren 't to sure if it was just a Sunday night church service or if you were there for the graduates. Anyways, it must have been ok cuz I cried from the minute the graduates walked in & I saw Kevin!! It's going to happen... He's gonna be done & move out & move on....I'm not sure why I'm struggling so hard with this.. He is my youngest of the first bunch... He has been such a huge help.. He's always there for me... Hmmmm I wander why??? I think it's also hard because a year ago they lost a good friend of theirs, Cassie Ahmann in a car wreck and she would be graduating too. There were songs sang in rememberance, poems read in rememberance, and then Cassie's mom Lori, did a suprise performance at the end and played the last song Cassie sang at the Winter Follies. She died apx. 2 weeks after that performance. All the graduating girls got up and went & circled her on the piano and joined in... Kevin sobbed... he was extremely close to her and her family. There was not a dry eye in the house.. very touching, very memorable. After the ceremony, we had cookies & punch.. took pictures.. and then I came home & cried myself to sleep. I'm hoping to get it out of my system and maybe I'll be able to survive graduation. Wow... One step closer .....

Adrian... My Little Italian Want A Be!!

Adrian loves to watch t.v. His favorite shows are survivor man, How it's made, Myth Busters and anything or everything on the Discovery Channel or the Science Channel. I catch him every
once in a while sitting in on the Cooking Channel when I watch it. He has discovered that he can do various accents & Itallian happens to be the one of choice.

Friday, he came home from school & asked if he could make Elijah and him a snack. Easy mac it is... Oh my goodness.. I never laughed so hard.. The entire time he was making it, he was narrerating with his Itallian accent. The pictures won't do it justice but I'm gonna try any ways.

I'mma makin' my secret recipe... no pictures ... pleasea..

"Woulda you likea to trya my special appatiza..." Hot Dogga Suprisea"?

My mastea piecea is completa.... Easy Maca with extra cheesea and a tad bit of freshly ground peppera...

Support for Virginia

A few weeks ago, I wrote about a terrible experience that I had in my neighborhood with a gang fight. Well, on the other side of the coin, this is one good reason why I don't want to leave Warden & why I do want Adrian & Elijah to be raised here.

I've written several times about a friend of mine Virginia. She is tackling breast cancer. Well, the Warden Fire Department, donated a $1000.00 to her and her family to help with expenses. This is what they did.. (I hope this Mr. Linky works ) FD Article . I'm not sure if you recognize the young man sitting next to the gentleman that is getting his hair cut but that is Kevin... Although
he isn't a volunteer fireman yet, he wanted to show support for Virginia. She has cut his hair for quite some time and he goes to school with her kids. He was so funny right before he went to get it cut.. He said "mom, I'm nervous..." "I'm actually kinda of shaking & have goose bumps".

I said "Kevin, you don't have to do this." He goes, "No, mom, I want to.. I don't think I've ever felt so strong about supporting something before. I just wish I could do more."...

That kid... Well, come to find out, Eric felt the same way & even though he wasn't able to attend that night, the next day he shaved his head too...

Here's a pic of my boys with their dad....

Hang in their Virginia.. You have a whole town that is fighting for you!!!

THE REMAINDER OF THE BLURRR FROM LAST WEEK

Last week was not only a blurrrrrrr but a nightmare... I look back now, and it probably wasn't that bad but at the time, alls I could do was wish it over.

Susan... the headaches are terrible... I'm there with you... I've had a headache for a week straight. I think I've figured it out.. It's allergies, sinus, stress and anything else you can throw into the pot. You think they'd have a 1 for all pill but they don't.. So every 3 or 4 hours I was trying another migraine, tension, sinus, extra strengh pms (hey you never know *lol*)

STRESS - WHAT'S THAT????

Kevin's announcements are done and in the mail as of today.... Thank you to all and I mean all that stood by me... Deb for the use of the cricut!!!! For Heather for not only the 12x12 printer use, being able to bounce ideas of you and convincing me to go out of the box for me on colors... I love them and for helping me stick the 300 letters together... Annette for checking on me to see if I was still in tact... I now have a decade to convince myself to buy grad announcements instead of making them *lol*

I'm supposed to be moving.. I think I've told you that.. Well, I set my own date to be out by June. I've had things that I thought would work out that haven't but finally had applied for base housing... Everyone gets accepted there, good credit, bad credit, no credit *lol*... WRONG!!!!
I had an ex-husband that was awarded our house in a divorce settlement. Well he let the house go.. not only did they forclose they had to serve him with papers to get him out - EVICTION.
Well since my name was on the loan papers I was also considered to be evicted... WRONG!!!
He has since bought new truck, new house, you name it.. & I can't rent a flippin $600.00 per month house!!!!! STRESS WHAT IS THAT????? But hey I can appeal it.. They will not talk to you on the phone, so I have to write a letter of appeal & then they will set up an appointment. So the letter is written, I include copies of the divorce (so I thought) papers. They call set up the appointment. I get there 15 mins. early... sit down with the lady just for her to tell me I sent the wrong copy of the divorce payments... They couldn't of told me that on the phone??? I am finished before my appointment was scheduled to start.... I leave in tears...... I call my attorney and yeah they can get me a copy but it will take a few days.. Hopefully by the end of next week!!!

STRESS WHAT IS THAT.....

Adrian had a terrible week in school... In his desk, on his desk, under his desk.. She said he carries quite the tune.. (humming loudly)... time for a med change... That's easy.. just needs to be upped a tad.. no problem.
Call Dr. Warner in plenty of time in case he wants to concure with Dr. Sierra... Nope he won't do it.. Call Dr. Sierra and they are closed... Warner writes prescription to last till we can get in to Sierra. Call Sierra can't get me in until Wednesday.. that's fine... "oh and by the way, Dr. Sierra will be retireing in August and no one will be taking over her practice, so good luck!!!...AGHHH!!!
See ya Wednesday...
Go to appointment.. she ups the dosages.. that's great... "So can you reccommend someone"... Well, I only know of one doctor in Spokane and she has a 16 page waiting list!!.... You might want to visit with Dr. Warner & see what he wants to do....
STRESS WHAT IS THAT????

I can honestly say.. I didn't think I could handle much more... between all of this and work, and the older kids drama, and then baseball pictures Monday, Practice -Tuesday,
Games - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday .... AGHHH!!!!

And my house... oh my gosh.. it was filthly.. everything had piled up.. I couldn't function all week.. Not sleeping at home, wanting to sleep while at work. I was lucky I was able to make grilled cheese sandwiches 5 nights in a row...yep those poor boys.. ate grilled cheese every night.. oh well at least I fed them *lol*

Well now that I've whined and you all think I'm headed for the nut house... but I'm not.. I can stand up now and sing " I WILL SURVIVE" .... you think I'd crumble you think I'd lay down and die Oh no, not I .. I DID SURVIVE !!!! *LOL*
I will survive!!!

Mother's Day Weekend

Wow... it's Sunday at 8:45 p.m. Where did this weekend go?

It's been a pretty emotional, stressed week. Besides baseball everynight, still not feeling back to par & being totally stressed about moving, last week just seemed to drag on. Friday afternoon,
Kevin brought me a balloon, flowers, and a car for Mother's day. I was walking on eggshells, ready to cry all morning and that broke me. After the week I had, it really made my day. When I picked the boys up from daycare, Elijah couldn't wait to hand me his flower, he planted for me. He was sure to tell me that he picked the yellow flower cuz it was his favorite color and wrapped it in blue cuz it was my favorite color. He was a little miffed at Kevin (only for a few) that he gave me flowers too. He wanted to be the only one who gave me flowers.
Friday night Jenn & Gabe ( the b/f), Kevin, Adrian & Elijah, and I went and had pizza. We've been trying to go once a month and have a family dinner. Eric couldn't join us as he had to work late but we were sure to send him the leftovers.

Saturday a.m., I was up bright and early. The plan was, I was to meet Nick at the 395 / Hiway 17 interchange. He was going to take the boys to Umatilla to the ranch, and I was going to Spokane to watch Jenn's last games. Everything was going as planned until I hit Connell. They had the road closed due to fact there had been an accident . I had to detour thru Connell and hit jump on to 395. It only delayed me a few. I met Nick and off we went our seperate ways.
I drove to Spokane and found the college amazingly with no problems. It was a cool, windy day.
The girls had an excellent day. They lost both their games but not by to awfull many. I will say they have improved immensely and are finally playing as a team. To bad the season is officially over. I was taking pictures like crazy. (imagine that :) ).

About 2:00 Nick called and he had been called in to work. They had a truck broke down in Onterio Oregon and he needed to go get the driver and get him home for the weekend. So he brought the boys home and headed back . When I got home this is what I found.....

Yep.. I'm a proud owner of a Cricut!!!.... Nick has watched me borrow Deb's for the last week & knowing Dolly had just bought one decided that I was falling behind times without one!!! Yep.. I have a cricut.. I actually can't believe it!!!

Sunday morning I got up about 5:15 a.m. We were heading to my mom's for a mother's day brunch. I got up and made a breakfast casserole, monkey bread, and the gravy for bisquits and gravy. Was actually out the door by 9:00 a.m. GO DARLA!!! We spent the main part of the day at mom's. We ate about 11:30, it was delicious besides what I made, we had eggs, hashbrowns, fruit, and ham. Oh my, I forgot how much the kids can eat *lol*.

Dave also was going to rotatiller mom's garden. Kevin & Eric went out to help and Elijah jumped right in.. You are all going to think I'm nuts but I got teary -eyed watching it. My boys have turned in to quite the young men... I love watching how close my kids have become & how helpful they are with others.

We came home about 4:00 or so.. Nick had called and said he was coming back down. I had planned to work on Kevin's graduation announcements and didn't want to have to make dinner. He told me he would take care of it... It was awesome.. We had bbq'd hot dogs, bbq'd asparagus with shrimp & lemon (delicious), bbq'd jalepeno peppers with cream cheeese (extremely hot tonight) and chips!! It was really good and the best part " I DIDN'T HAVE TO COOK ".

While he cooked, this is what I was working on .......

What a weekend!!!
Happy Mother's Day to all my blogging friends.. Hope you all had a great day!!

My kids are growing up!!

Adrian was invited to go on a fieldtrip wth the C.A.T.S. program at school. They are headed for Richland to The CREHST Museum ( Columbia River Exhibition History, Science & Tech) and

The Juried Strudent Art Exhibit at CBC.

So when he approaches me he is filled with excitement. This is right up his alley. He loves, History, Science & we all know he's great at technology (taking new toys apart to build his own).

He than says "Mom, is it okay if I go alone on this one? Do you have to go?" I said no Adrian I don't have to go. He says, "Mom, I think I'll be okay if you don't go". So I agreed. I go you need to realize if they don't have chaperones then no one will be able to go but it's okay I won't volunteer for this one." He than wants to know what a chaperone is, so I explain it to him. I'm crushed... Kevin is leaving the nest shortly & now my 3rd grader no longer wants me to attend his field trips... He then assures me that he loves me & to show it says. "Now mom, if we get to go on a drag racing field trip, then I will for sure ask you to go, OKAY!"

I laughed so hard....

So I"m officially off the chaperone list for him ... They grow up way to fast!!!!!

Opening Day Little League

This weekend was a very busy weekend. Friday, Jenn had a game at CBC in Tricities. It turned out to be batting practice for CBC. I don't think I've ever seen so many homeruns. Jenn played center field all thru high school. This year she has played 2nd base, 3rd base, short stop & now catcher. With her health condition it was recommened for her not to play catcher but what do I know.. I'm only her mom. She actually has done really well & has been really good about keeping herself hydrated.

Saturday started off with Opening Day of Little League. This is Elijah's first year on T-ball and Adrian's second year of Minors. They started off with a parade thru towns. You couldn't blink or you'd miss one or two of them... Elijah is on the Mustangs .

Adrian is a Bobcat this year.

After the parade they head down to the field. They introduce the teams, say the Pledge of Allegiance, recite the Little League Pledge & then "PLAY BALL".

Randi, Chris, Kaitlyn, Cody, Carter, Kevin

Carter & Kevin

Carter & Kevin
Saturday eveing was Prom for Warden & many other neighboring towns. The kids couldn't seem to make up their minds when they were leaving, where they were going, how they were going to get there. They didn't seem to care as much as us parents. It was driving us all nuts.
But it all came together and they had a great time... I can't believe it was Kevin's Senior Prom.
I got a little teary eyed a few to many times... Boy this one is a tough one on me...

Senior Day!!

Well today is Kevin's last home golf match.... This is the first time that the golf team has recognized the senior's. So I took a little time & ran out to see.

WARDEN HIGHSCHOOL GOLF TEAM

Now, I was going to follow Kevin around for a couple holes of golf to take those very much needed scrapbook pictures. But his group was the 3rd group to tee off at hole #1. So that meant apx. 40 mins or so to wait. He told me to leave but I needed those pictures for his scrapbook album. So being the good son, he went over to the practice tee's and pretended so I could get those much needed pictures. I love that kid :)

I'm sure gonna miss him... Only 4 more weeks of school ......and he's counting!!!
