My Poor Baby Girl........

Poor Mckenzie has the Hand, Foot and Mouth Virus......   I feel so bad for her... Jenn has had a rough week with her. Between fevers,lack of appetite, lack of fluids,  crankiness & now the blisters... I felt so bad because I'm still busy at work and couldn't get away to help her .. I had read that you shouldn't give them juice or acidy but cold milky drinks are soothing.. So there is nothing colder or milkier than a milkshake. So Thursday night I ordered in dinner for them, so she didn't have to cook and ran to Dairy Queen and grabbed my sweet baby girl a large strawberry shake... This was the result......

Jenn was babysitting for a family and the dad dropped off the little boy while running a fever... Jenn called  him and told him that he needed to come pick him up he had a fever of 103... the dad showed up apx. 4 hrs later from work.   People need to stay home with their children when they are sick... That is one of my pet peeves...

My Poor Baby Boy...

Carson had to have a minor surgery on July 5.   We left Warden at 5:00 a.m. to be in Wenatchee by 7:00 a.m.   I hardly slept a wink... It's amazing even though he's not your child  you still have the mom instincts and it's so hard to step back and let the parents be the parents and you be the grandparent ...  He did great we were home around 12:30 or so.  They originally had taken him in to get re-circumsized but ended up having a hernia fixed and had some fluid drained off his testicles.. That's alot to be done to a one year old... He was a trooper.... Christie (Amanda's Mom), Amanda, Kevin & I went up together.
