About a month ago Elijah came in and told me one of his friends was going to Seattle to watch Plan B and he wanted to go.. I had no idea who Plan B was. So I told him probably not but I would look into it. Well they are a skateboard team. The two boys are crazy and I mean crazy about skateboarding. They spend their allowances on new decks, new trucks .. anything to do with skateboarding. Zumiez Couch Tour was going to be in Lynwood on May 26th and that is where this skate team was to perform. Well, Nick usually takes the boys on the weekend,so I called him & we decided we would take a day trip and take them . We told them that we were going to a race in Seattle.. They had no idea.... The program started at 1:00 with local competion and Plan B was to perform at 2:00 . Well, we stopped off at lunch at Red Robin.. Adrain was in heaven.. He loves that place .. You can tell by his smiles..

Well, after lunch I told them that I had to run to the mall to stop at Michael's because I had gift certificates and then we'd be off to the races. Actually the Alderwood mall parking lot was where the festivities were being held. We had them totally convinced until I pulled out the paper and on the right hand side of the paper was a 2x2 square that had "Plan B- Zumiez Couch Tour" on it and Adrian somehow saw that.
He started yelling... "Elijah we are going to Plan B"... Elijah goes NO WAY!!!
They were both so excited.... We spent apx. 3-4 hours there. I only had to remind Nick a few times, "How many times have we drug them to the drag races & how many lines have they stood in " *lol*. It was cool. They had the skateboarding going on.. They had a band playing.. Booths with games that were free set up . You could also purchase team items,(boards, shirts & misc). The kids had ball.
Standing in line for autographs - We waited over an hour .. and moved 5 feet and had a really long ways to go. Boys decided they waited long enough and they were ready to move on.. So no autographs this year.
Plan B Performing!!
After spending the afternoon there, we headed to The Crap Pot in Bellvue. Although it was good, I really like the one down town Seattle better. The boys wouldn't touch the fish but ate the chicken instead.
It was a great day... The best part of the whole day was Adrian... It's been so long seeing him smile.. He was smiling ear to ear all day long!! He must have thanked us 5 times & repeatedly told us that it was "THE BEST DAY EVER".....
I'm so glad Nick & I have remained friends and so thank-ful that he has taken a role in their lives. It was a great day!!
