Saturday Fun Day....

Both Paul and I took the day off and went our separate ways so we both could go do what we love doing... I went to craft day @ Deb's and he went fishing.....

I first got to go with Kandice and her mom to see sweet little images of  Miss Harper.  She was very active as usual and yes she is still MISS little Harper... then Kandice and I went to Royal to Deb's for craft day... As usual I way overpacked but I was on a mission and the mission was completed.   I made my first RAG QUILT.... I am so excited.. me who didn't own a needle and thread until last Christmas. Paul got me a sewing machine.. I had taken it out of box and put in carrier and that is the absolute furthest I had went with it ...   With the help from my friend Lara who had me research this blog :

help from the amazing ladies @ Joann's with the proper fabric, equipment I still needed and tips & the help from Deb  introducing me to the very basic.. "Darla this is a sewing machine" *lol*.   I did it..

It's made out of flannel and it is so soft and warm.   This will be the blanket of choice for the older girls for Christmas this year.. I can't wait ...   As I was doing this ... Paul was doing this:

He took Carson out on the boat for the first time .   Kevin and him had a blast.. Carson out fished them but I just kept getting pictures sent...and of course I have to share...

Addie / Drae First Soccer Game.....

Oh how I love watching these little one's in sports...   

Addie  she just runs as fast as she can.... if the ball is there that makes it better otherwise she just runs from one end to the other *lol*..  Drae that boy can kick ... once they figure this sport out.. you better watch out.....  The funniest part was Addie was so excited because she got SNACKS this time and got to share with Carson instead of the other way around... It was priceless!!!

My camera on my phone totally sucks!!!  We are in the process of trying to get a camera... I refuse to miss all these special moments.... I took a thousand pictures and only a few turned out.. That's one thing about Facebook - I can steal the girls pics *lol*..

Grandparents Day....

McKenzie's school celebrated Grandparents day on Friday, Sept 9 with a breakfast.  Both Jeff, Louetta and I were able to join her.  Paul was out of town working...  She absolutely loved it...

Small Town Fun...... Labor Day Parade....

arden Community Days or I should say Day is Labor Day... When I first moved to Warden oh what a weekend Labor Day was for our  little community.  But over the years it has changed & I don't think for the better. What used to be Friday - Monday is now just Monday..  With that being said and coming with age .. .I usually only particiapate in the small town parade..

Randy & Rise Wiggins were the Grand Marshalls and quite deserving ..

 

The local police dept. and the local sherriff and our own local state patrol start it off...

Then comes the fire dept. and boy were they having fun... *lol*...

But this fire truck had all my favorite little fire fighters on it...  and my son driving..hmmm maybe I'm a little bias...
