I woke up this morning and on top of still not feeling well, it was so gloomy outside, the emotions had set in (no horemones for 3 days) ... I realize that the originial problem that I was having that I had had surgery for on January 2nd was back and I started to cry....... so bring on the cramping and bloating....... What a rough morning.... I actually went to my I-Phone and looked up Janey Payney's blog... It's amazing how many times I go to her blog when I need that uplifting moment.... I was so bummed.. she was still 1/2 baked and that wasn't the inspirition I was looking for.... I got on FaceBook and this popped up...
Oh how I needed this this morning..... So than I thought..... I can sit cry, feel sorry for myself or pull up those sexy disposeable big girl panties they gave me to wear & plunge forward.... So I did... I made myself think of 10 things I was so thankful for...
#1) My family - My kids - My Grandkids, My Brothers, My Mom, My Aunts, My Cousins .... wow I have a big family - ( Learning later that Dave & one of his Police buddies had conteplated moving me out to Spokane & invisioning them in their SWAT maneuvers to do it *lol*)
Drae - Jenn's little boy... She had received a text from D's sister today... So thankful!!
#2) My friends - I could turn every corner and think of someone I could call for help and I had... Annette had taken me to the hospital, she worked with my older kids to make sure the boys were covered, the flowers, cards, phone calls, texts I had received from all my FRIENDS.....
#3) My faith - Not afraid to admit that I was scared and how I needed him to not only walk beside me but to carry me thru those few days that were so scarey - Allowing my father in law (Bob) to give me a blessing and how it really did bring me some peace.
#4) My Job - Not only do I have a job... but I work for the BEST BOSS, COMPANY, ever ..... Knowing I didn't have to worry how long I was off .. my chair would still be there...
#5) Wilbur Family - I was totally amazed at the texts, cards, visits from the GUYS that I work with.... We are definately a family!!!
#6) The Doctors - All though I am cranky at Dr. X that did my original surgery I was still thankful for his knowledge and so greatful for Dr. Y that he still believed in healing the patients.... the concern he had for me was truely amazing...
#7) The Nursing Staff - I had received the most amazing care while I was there... The nursing staff was fantastic... Poor Alex should have believed me when I told him I was feeling nauseated..... but he still was there for me with a smile ...
At this point I started to dwindle.. My life is full of thankfulness but on this specific day it was tough to hold on to this positive thoughts...
A nurse had walked in, my machine was beeping... and another nurse poked her head in and gave her some instructions in a very firm, and not very appreciated way... I looked at her and said.. " You need to smile "... she replied.. "How is it possible to have a Monday every day".... I just chuckled cuz that was how I was feeling. I than replied.. "I feel the same way today"... but I made my self look deep inside & come up with 10 things I was greatful for.... she asks ... " Did you get them"... I go nope.. only made it to about 7... she than chuckled and said.. "Well I just got the air out of your IV line and your machine stopped beeping so that could be #8".... We both started to laugh and she left with a smile on her face.....
