Weekend Thoughts......

I'm such a better working mom than a stay at home mom... Why is that????

Both the boys are getting so much better at bowling.. I love watching them make the decision on where to stand, how to throw, they've really come a long way.

Adrian had a 128 on Saturday... Elijah bowled an average of 85 or so... There team is 1/2 pt from 1st place. Way to go boys...

I just love spending Saturday mornings with their great grandparents, they now come to watch them every Saturday at bowling.... Okay, yes their is sarcassam in my voice & that probably isn't very nice BUT....................

I did good Coupon / Sales shopping this weekend. I saved $32.23 total. Not bad, I will have to say I still have a lot to learn, like don't give them the .55 cent coupon off the gogart box first cuz when they go to run the $1.00 coupon off the gogart it won't take it.... It requires alot more thinking on the shopping part, but hopefully I will stick with it this time.. EVERY PENNY COUNTS... RIGHT DAVE!!

Dave Ramsey is going to help me keep with my budget... BUDGET is such a big word for only having 6 letters.

I went in to work for 4 hrs today.. It will make it so much nicer tomorrow, not to be rushin around first thing in the morning.... Busy week ahead...

Spring is springing & I can't wait to go camping and to the races... It's gonna be a fun summer...

Grandpa Royce Shuler is having a triple bypass tomorrow. Him & the Shuler family are in my prayers.

A gal I went to school with lost her sister in an unexpected death 2 weeks ago. She is really struggling. I hope she will be able to find some peace soon.

I'm really struggling with Adrian right now. I hope it's an age thing but his sarcassam, his back talking , his lovely arm swinging approach and his mouth scream "G** Damnit today is killing me. He seems so angry.. I've tried popping him on the mouth, I've tried talking to him... I just don't know what to do... Pray for strength & patience and see if he comes around.. I just don't know who's gonna win me or him....

My brother Scott goes in for a minor surgery on Friday. I thought Dave was gonna take him but we must have had a lack of communication or Dave had his normal selective hearing. I need to figure out how to juggle work , 2 boys & get Scott to Wenatchee on Friday afternoon. Hopefully Jenn will be able to help me out...

There has been lots of tension between Eric & Kevin. Without going into detail.. I pray that God will be there for Eric & somehow show him the correct path he needs to be taken & that he will be there for Kevin and give him guidence in his decisions that lie ahead. I also pray that the drama between the two will stop & after the move is complete that we can bring the closeness back together that they once shared.

I'm so thankful that the rock that flew miracoulously over my house without any help from two little boys didn't damage the nice ladies car that stopped in the middle of the road to see the damage. And I'm also very greatful that she was so nice and understanding. It was quite funny the way she put it..... I heard the rock hit my car, I looked up and the boys were standing there with their eyes extremely wide open, went pale, and ran for the back of the house. BUT I didn't actually see them throw it....

The NHRA races were kind of unusual tonight. Two prostock cars wrecked and no one was injured. A top fuel car had the strangest accident, the tire broke loose, bounced over the wall, and injured/killing a spectator. It was a tragic accident. The driver was fine but it really sombered the mood. I looked at Nick & said "We will no longer sit at the top 1/2 of the track & near the bottom of the stands"... That was a freak deal but very scarey.. .My thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends & the driver...

I used the Cricut Design Studio... I love it. I've never been able to cut so small.. Whohoo!! I still can't get it to recognize one of my cartridges, so I will need to work on it but I still love it!!!


I took a tylenol p.m. in hopes that it will help me sleep... it's been a very long day & I think I could really use it...

YOU GOT A TURKEY MOM!!!

The boys have bugging me to go bowling. I finally had found all of my stuff - balls , shoes, wrist brace, all the good stuff... So yesterday I decided to bowl with them. It has been 8 yrs since I picked up a bowling ball. Granted, I was a pretty good bowler before but 8 yrs since I've thrown a ball.

The little boys have been talkn smack to me for the past few weeks. So when I told them tonight is the night I'm gonna bowl.. Elijah piped up and said. "Yep, I've heard her talk the talk and now I want to see if she can walk the walk " *lol*.. Neither of them really thought I could do it. Well I bowled a 135, 197, 166, - not very consistant but hey it's been 8 yrs. *lol*

Elijah had me in stitches... Every time I'd get a strike he'd start screaming "Yah, that's what I'm talking about", run to meet me, jump up and hang on me... to funny... Well, I strung 3 strikes in a row and in bowling lingo that is called a TURKEY... I turned around & he yelled mom, you did it you got a turkey... He stuck his arms hands under his arms & starts walking like a turkey but makes the sound of a chicken "CLuck, cluck, cluck" I started laughing then he goes oh NO I mean "GOBBLE, Gobble, Gobble". It was absolutely priceless...

We got home & I found him under the piano playing trying to put his fingers in my bowling ball.. I asked him what he was doing. His reply was "Mom, you are a good bowler, Can I have your balls ?? *** I thought I was gonna die laughing..

Let's just say I don't think I'm gonna have to listen to their smack for a bit ....

Double Post Tuesday - A true confession!!

I must confess - To all my circle journal friends -

I was two weeks late on my journal!!!

I'm so sorry ..... I've decided that completing these journals you have to be in a mind set.. I love doing them but there are times, I just can't get there.

Susan, I loved your "What Tickles Your Fancy Journal" but honestly not a darn thing had tickled it lately *lol*

So I'm sorry!! Traci, if Heather is late it's my fault cuz I know if it wasn't for me and my not knowing what to do, she would have probably had it finished by now *lol*....

I promise to do better...

P.S..... It's 3:21 A.M. and I just finished another journal EARLY... That should count for something right !!!

Pepsi Cola Challenge

Both Adrian and Elijah qualified during their Saturday, weekly league bowling to participate in the House tournament for the Pepsi Cola Challenge. Today was the day for the tournament.

Their very first tournament... Elijah went in with an average of 48 and a handicap of 162 (which is rather low average-high handicap) but he is only 7 and has only been bowling for 3 months & the best part is we have been practicing a couple times a week and has gotten his average to almost 60 on league.... Adrian however, went in with a 104 average & a 106 handicap, putting a little more pressure on him to do good.

The results were in - Elijah bowled an 82, 62 and his best game ever a 128

Adrian bowled an 77,105, 98 which is really good just not good enough.

Elijah actually took 1st place and we are moving to the next level. In March, we travel to Pullman to bowl at the next level. Who would have thunk???

Happy Valentines Day.....

Today consisted of me purchasing the Steak & Crab, me cooking the Steak & Crab, and Nick eating the Steak & Crab....Oh what a day !!! *lol*

Way To Go Adrian!!

Adrian bowled his highest game ever today.... 146!!!!

It's amazing to watch these two boys & see how much they have improved, how much they are trying, and how much they love bowling!! As I said before I think we found our nitch!!

Eric's Final Update (we hope)

Today, Eric & I headed up to Spokane for another doctor's visit. He's down to using only one crutch & actually I think that he uses it for looks only *lol*.. Our appointment was at 9:15, we arrived at 9:00, we were in the room by 9:05 , xrayed and visited with doctor & out the door by 9:25!! I love this place... They are so friendly, so professional and quick *lol*...

Eric has been released to go back to work part-time... I can't believe it. The doctor was totally impressed with everything. His pelvis has healed perfectly, he can walk, jump, skip, you name it without pain. He doesn't even have to do physical thereapy!!! So Monday the 15th, he will start back part time as long as his body can take it and then after 2 weeks he can return full time!!

It was 3 months ago tomorrow that he had his accident and it's such a blessing that he has made a full recovery..... Thank you to everyone for their thoughts & prayers!!!

Portland or Bust!!!!

I can't believe we did it but we did. Deb, Annette, Heather & I loaded up Heather's car & pulled out of Tricities at about 7:00 p.m. on Friday night & headed for Portland to the CK Scrap Convention.... Yep, we didn't even know for sure till that morning if we were really gonna go..
We pulled into Troutdale @ 11:00 or so Friday night for a short but sweet layover.. Was at the Convention by 9:00 Saturday morning, in Portland & I was home by 8:30 p.m. Saturday night *lol*... Now that was a trip!!!

Short but sweet details -

I shouldn't drink diet coke one right after another past 7:00 at night... The good thing was Heather had no problem staying awake...

Deb needs to get more sleep the day before we do a power drive.. she got a little tired by the time we got there.. I was starting to think I was annoying her *lol* (in a good way of course)

Stopping for popcorn at 10:00 at night - you never know who you will run into ..... I walked around the corner to grab a diet coke & there sat Dr. Warner!!! He jumped up , ran over & gave me a big hug & wanted to know where his boys were *lol*.. instead he got another hug from Annette.. He looks great and it was great to see him!! I sure miss him....

There is one less Beaver that the Ducks in Oregon have to worry about.. What were the Beaver's last words heather????

They weren't really gonna kick us out of the motel for being loud in the lobby.... She was just kidding.. honest *lol*

Sleep is over rated!!

The convention Nazi was on a mission Saturday morning... Oh my!! She was watching us like a hawk to make sure we didn't get in a moment to soon or in front of anyone else!!

Once we got in ... Heaven... I thought we'd died and gone to Heaven.... Make n Takes, Brads, Paper, Glitter (yeah I stayed away *lol*), chalks, inks... It was Heaven!!!

Walking to Red Robin for lunch, Standing at light, and strange guys drive by making strange gestures - "We aren't in Kansas anymore *lol*"

I can't believe that they didn't belive me that it was her birthday....

Dave Ramsey would have been proud-we all came back with money & the only buyers remorse I had I turned around and sold to Deb.. I know I made him proud now Deb is still trying to explain to him why she needed all that chalk *lol*

I couldn't believe both Matt & Russell would allow us to make ONE more stop before heading home.. Now that's what I call TRUE LOVE!!!!
